How to Make Green Chile Pork – a Recipe

green chile pork - uncooked

The simplest, most flavorful way to make pork for mexican inspired meals!

Buy country pork ribs, with or without bones, or any old butt / shoulder pork roast, (look for sales and freeze for later).

Take a crock pot full of meat and add Herdez Chile Verde Salsa, (also available in Jars – buy Medium), 3 cans, and garlic (8 cloves).  That’s it, no other seasonings, not even salt.  Cook until falling apart, (8 hours).  Strain, shred, redress with fresh Herdez sauce or re-dress with BBQ sauce for sandwiches.  Great to freeze.

One sandwich size re-sealable bag full of meat will make tacos for 4.  It doesn’t look like a lot but it will.

Use for a cornbread casserole invention, tacos, burritos, relleno’s or homemade tamales.  Do not cook overnight.  It will smell so good you won’t sleep and you’ll be hungry all night.
