Honey made dinner last night.
This special setting was a surprise to me. I was in the house and Honey was taking care of dinner. So I walk outside and the table was set with a red and white checkered tablecloth. He had votives lit and a candle. We have a little candle that’s an old wine bottle with the wicker on it and then we burned candles down and so it looks really cute. He had beautiful wine glasses. He had flowers from the yard, music playing and he made shells with his spaghetti sauce. He made mushrooms, he made broccoli, and then he made garlic bread.
The reason why I took a picture was because it was just so thoughtful. He makes dinner often, but this was a little extra. I know he did this for him because he enjoys a nice atmosphere, but he also did it for me because I love things like this. We both like to live our lives as if every day is special.
I just appreciate it so much.
It’s nice when your loved ones can show you love in whatever way that they know how. After 36 years Honey and I are a lot alike, (luckily!). I wish you a bubble bath, or a surprise trip, or a thoughtful card or maybe even a dinner of your own.
